I don't like it...

...but god damn it I'll give it a decent review because nobody else can.

I didn't think the music really fit with the lyrics or the theme. Since your listing off names of pokemon i'd imagine that the music would be based off a theme from the pokemon series. If the music was... then thats a shame because i didn't recognize it. Pick something more obvious.

The lyrics weren't exactly that impressive. It was simply a list of names of pokemon that rhymed with one another. Its not a bad idea, but it was done poorly, particularly the voice. If thats your voice, then I am deeply sorry: it isn't a voice for singing nor rapping. It simply sounded bad.

All in all, I'm glad that someone did something relatively creative, even if it was poorly done. I put effort into my review because i can tell you put effort into your work. Make more. Who knows. Maybe you can prove me wrong. I hope so.

sonicmega responds:

Just because you didn't know, the music was a remix of 2B A Master, originally played in Pokemon Puzzle League.

Aside from that, I understand where you're coming from in terms of the execution. In the end, I was working with a set of lyrics, and my goal alone was to rhyme all these Pokemon names in some organized fashion. It's definitely not the prettiest of sounds, but I'm working on improving how my voice comes across when recording. I feel it's too high pitched myself, but I didn't want that to stop me from trying.

I thank you for calling it creative, if nothing else, but I thank you most for writing one of the best reviews that pointed out why you didn't like it without getting abusive. It actually felt good to respond to your review, because you had a very decent grasp on what exactly you found to be subpar with it. Thank you!

I've recently been playing Fable...

and frankly, I nearly mistook this as something from the game. Not because I believe that this isn't original, but because it has such a high quality and is so very stylish! I love it! An incredibly useful loop.

My only complaint is its length. I understand that it is simply a loop. However, by extending the length of the loop by adding more little segments that embellish the main theme, when looping, the piece would seem less like a loop and more like a fully developed musical score: essentially tricking the listener.

Loopmaster responds:

I'll keep that in mind for the future; I'm just trying to make a few flash authors on this site happy for now though :) Glad you liked it!

Smexy.

Very smexy. I like it quite a bit. My only complaint is that you need some heavier, meaner drums. I mean, like, when I hear a kick I want to feel the vibrations go through me, you know?

Hot stuff though. Keep going!

yagru responds:

agreed! i'll work on it

Amazing.

Its like my ears are having an orgy. Seriously, good work mate. Keep it up!

TheComet responds:

I hope it doesn't climax blood...I don't want to have to clean it up! XD

glad you like it! :D

Awesome Sauce!

With a side of cool beans! Good work my friend.

DomesticTerrorist responds:

Thank you sir! I appreciate it!

Lovin it!

That had such a mean beat I almost couldn't believe it! Very nice job for sure! The drums were loud enough to be noticeable but not so loud that they took anything away from the strings. Loved the violin element: that really made the whole thing for me.

Whatever you do, do NOT stop making music!

raretools responds:

Dont worry i will never stop :)

Kinda cool

But not very good quality. Like the idea: subliminal messaging at its most conspicuous. The background noises were cool to. Next time you make something like this, consider where it might be useful: making something usable in a flash would probably improve your scores immensly.

KyleDaFox responds:

As you can see, this song was flash game able.

Crizazy!

Sweet! Nice job man! It didn't even sound like a song at first, but slowly it evolved from utter noise to a sweet beat. I can tell you put some major hard work into this just by the quality. Major respect. Please make more.

Adding some strings might be nice though, like maybe some guitar thrown in.

Rucklo responds:

yea, some additions could have been made... strings, guits... oh well, it was firstly about playing around with the foley samples, so yeah... :)
Thanx for the review

Not bad.

Artsy as far as audio goes. Might wanna amp up the quality a tad... unless a little distortion is what you were going for in the first place. Adding some soft background noises might also add to the mood.

I apologize for all the rest of the people on NG who feel the need to BLAM this only because they don't understand it. I share you're loathing of them and personally hope they are removed from the face of the earth, or at least the human gene pool.

ShinDenjin responds:

I agree whole heartily. they're wastes of DNA for all I care. Thanks a bunch.

Pretty damn good!

I really like this style of music (Radiohead, Frou Frou) and I think you really pull it off well. As for your timing, the mistakes are hardly noticeable so they're barely worth mentioning. Besides, you could say that the mistakes were really on purpose and give the music that certain feel.

Anyway, mad props to you and please make more!

snoballandthmonyshot responds:

good idea, those aren't mistakes they're surpposed to be there:/
